O-1. OSHA Compliant Job Safety Analysis: Development & Implementation

  A Job Safety Assessment or Analysis (JSA) is a tailored survey tool that should be site specific. It will contribute to identifying workplace hazards and unsafe conditions which could lead to accidents. JSAs contribute to the development of procedures which will prevent and /or eliminate the workplace hazards that have been identified. Developing and implementing your JSA will help you meet the personal protective equipment needs and requirements of 29 CFR 1910 Subpart I; 132(d)(1)(2) - Personal Protective Equipment and 29 CFR 1910.119 - Process Safety Management. JSAs contribute to minimize the potential for unsafe acts/conditions.

O-2. OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Voluntary Compliance Course

  Attendees who successfully complete the course receive "OSHA Completion Card." Attendees will learn to apply specific OSHA standards to their workplace and job procedures. Activities include how to utilize OSHA regulations to establish or supplement an effective safety and health program. Learn to identify common OSHA violations. Workplace examples will be used to explain appropriate abatement actions.

  • Lock out/Tag out, machine guarding, PPE, Confined Spaces, hazard communication
  • Walking and Working Surfaces, Hearing protection, egress and fire protection

  Attendees who successfully complete the course receive "OSHA Completion Card" Learn to apply specific OSHA Standards to their workplace and job procedures. Activities include how to utilize OSHA Regulations to establish or supplement an effective safety and health program at a construction site. Learn to identify common OSHA Violations and workplace examples will be used to what are the appropriate abatement actions.

O-4. OSHA 500 - Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry

  This course is designed for personnel interested in developing safety and health programs in the construction industry. Special emphasis is placed upon those areas in construction that the most hazardous by using OSHA's standards as a guide.

  As a course participant you will be briefed on effective instructional approaches and the use of visual aids and handouts. Upon successful completion of this course graduates are authorized to conduct both the 10-hour and the 30-hour construction safety and health courses and to issue cards to participants certifying course completion.

O-5. OSHA 501 - Trainer Course in Occuational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry

  Our course is designed to present detailed information on how the provisions of the OSH Act maybe implemented in the workplace. Rights and responsibilities under the OSH act, the appeals process, and record keeping are covered. OSHA's general industry standards and an overview of the requirements of the most frequent referenced standards will be addressed.

  Upon successful completion of this course graduates are authorized to conduct both the 10-hour and the 30-hour Voluntary Compliance Course and to issue cards to participants certifying course completion.

  This course focuses on techniques for gathering accurate accident/incident data to determine and recognize why accidents occur and how to prevent them in the future. When properly performed, the accident investigation process can become a valued component of a successful safety program. Accidents often can be traced to unsafe acts and/or conditions.

S-3. Rapid Eye Check Certification Program

  The cost of pre-employment and random drug testing is prohibitive to many businesses. The Rapid Eye Check is an effective, non-evasive and easily taught alternative to traditional body fluid emit testing. If the subject passes the Rapid Eye Check, nearly 99% will also pass a body fluid emit test. Only those who fail the Rapid Eye Check will need the test, saving you considerable expense!

  • This program is widely used by law enforcement

S-5. Safety IMPACT: A Behavioral Approach to Safety

  The purpose of this one and a half-day course is to show the participant how to implement the Safety IMPACT Process in their work area as a means of improving overall safety performance. The Safety IMPACT Process integrates all aspects of accident causation (person factors, procedures, conditions and behaviors) into improving safety performance among managers, supervisors and employees.

Presentation Highlights

  • Basic knowledge of the "incident box" (person factors, procedure factors, environmental factors and behavior). Skill at identifying these components.
  • Knowledge how behave is caused by using the Activators, Behavior, and Consequences models.
  • Skill at identifying these components using examples generated in training.
  • Consequences and motivation - using feedback as motivation,
  • How to write an IMPACT Safety Analysis (ISA) and job observation checklist.
  • Using reinforcement as another type of motivation.
